Mission success

Our Lenten Mission Project was a great success. We raised $3,300 for 30 educational scholarships for children and youth in Los Cerros, Guatemala, through our sister congregation, Libano Presbyterian Church, in Los Cerros, Guatemala. This is our sixth year of supporting the children who would not have an opportunity to stay in school past the third grade. It only costs $100 a year to keep a child in school and that covers the cost of a student’s books, school supplies, and the required uniform. Every year the Elders of Libano Presbyterian Church, who administer the program, send us a report with the original receipts, a photo, the career the student wants to pursue, and the grade they have just completed. Thanks to all our donors who cared and shared to make this project overwhelmingly successful. The students started their new school year in January.
